Bizon™ is completely halogen free and does not release
dioxins. Developed specifically to work exclusively as a flame
retardant additive for plastics with a processing temperature
of up to 220°C, when added to polypropylene (25% loading).
Bizon has achieved a UL94 VO rating at 1.6mm (material self
extinguishes with no flaming droplets).
Operation
Bizon is effective by inducing a surface
char and cutting off the supply of volatile gases to the flame.
Markets
Plastics materials with a processing temperature up to 220°C.
Bizon has enhanced thermal stability, enabling it to be compounded
with many polymers, including PP, HDPE, EVA, elastomers and
synthetic rubbers. Industry sectors using flame retardants
include the construction and cable protection industries, plastics mouldings for
automotive components, office equipment and household appliances.
