Firestop was founded in 1999 to develop a portfolio of new generation flame retardants with the specific aim of producing products which are as benign as possible, whilst achieving effectiveness and ease of processing. It is the only specialist manufacturer of new technology FRs based in the UK.

The company has developed core flame retardant products in two key areas -

Noflan^® for cotton based textiles

Bizon™ for polymers

and is developing a portfolio of complementary products for a wide range of natural and synthetic textiles.
